Whitehouse Primary offers free Stay and Play sessions for local families looking for a friendly, welcoming space for young children to explore, play and learn.
These sessions are led by our experienced Early Years staff and are designed to help children build confidence, curiosity and early social skills while parents meet our team and discover our nursery and reception provision.
What Will Your Child Do at Stay and Play?
Each session is filled with fun and purposeful activities led by our experienced Early Years staff.
We run separate sessions for 2-year-olds and sessions suitable for 3- and 4-year-olds, each designed to meet the developmental needs of those age groups.
In the 2-year-old sessions, children can:

Explore sensory play, water and sand trays, and soft role-play areas

Enjoy songs, rhymes and gentle story time

Develop early confidence in a calm, nurturing setting
In the 3- and 4-year-old sessions, children can:

Parents and carers stay throughout, enjoying refreshments, meeting staff and chatting about nursery and reception places in a friendly atmosphere.
Who Can Attend?
Stay and Play sessions are open to all families with children aged 2 to 4 years.
You don’t need to have a place at Whitehouse Primary to attend – everyone is welcome.

Admissions Process and Further Information
NEAT Academy Trust is the admissions authority for Whitehouse Primary School.
Applications for Reception to Year 6 places are managed by North Tyneside Council.

Applications for the 2 year old provision and Nursery should be made to the school. Nursery places are allocated according to the Nursery Admissions Policy in the policies section of our website.
