We offer small class sizes, engaging learning, and a strong sense of community that helps every child succeed.

Our small class approach gives each child more individual attention in calm classrooms. We have Reception places available for children starting school in September 2025.

Nursery Places (Age 3 and 4) Available

Our Nursery provides a nurturing, well-resourced early years environment with access to outdoor learning every day.

What we offer

  • Small, welcoming setting with experienced Early Years staff

  • Play-based curriculum building early language, literacy and number

  • Daily outdoor learning and continuous provision

  • Smooth transition into Reception

Hours and funding

  • 15 funded hours for all 3 and 4-year-olds (term time)

  • Up to 30 funded hours for eligible working parents

  • Wrap-around options subject to availability

How to apply for Nursery
Applications for Nursery are made directly to the school. Places are allocated in line with our Nursery Admissions Policy.

Stay and Play Sessions for 2, 3 and 4 year olds

Our free Stay & Play sessions are a fun and friendly way for young children to explore, play and build confidence in a safe early years environment.

Nursery play at Whitehouse Primary

For 3 and 4 Year Olds

Parents and carers can relax with refreshments, meet other families, chat with staff and learn about nursery and Reception places.

Applications for Reception places are made through North Tyneside Council’s School Admissions Portal.

Parents are advised to check the Council’s website for deadline dates for Reception applications.

Admissions Process and Further Information

NEAT Academy Trust is the admissions authority for Whitehouse Primary School.

Applications for Reception to Year 6 places are managed by North Tyneside Council.
You can view full details, key dates and the appeals process on the council’s website.

Applications for the 2 year old provision and Nursery should be made to the school. Nursery places are allocated according to the Nursery Admissions Policy in the policies section of our website.
